Humane Sociey of Ocean City Adds Extra Day & Extends Hours of Wellness Clinic

The Humane Society of Ocean City has added an extra day and is extending the hours of its Wellness Clinic. The clinic used to be held every Wednesday from 12 noon until 4pm. The clinic will now be open on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon and Wednesdays from Noon until 6pm. Saturday appointments start May 8 and the new extended hours on Wednesdays are already in effect.

The clinic offers the public low cost options for routine veterinary services like vaccines and testing. The clinic is by appointment only and the shelter stresses that this is not for emergency medical care or sick animals and even though the animals are examined by licensed veterinarians, the clinic is not a replacement for having your own personal vet of record.

“Over the past year we received many calls from people who were looking for surrender their animals because they could not afford yearly check-ups or yearly vaccinations. Because we are helping to reduce the yearly cost associated with having pets we are helping to keep more animals in homes,” said Executive Director Bill Hollingsworth.
