The Humane Society of Ocean City is holding a "Paw-ty time Social," Saturday, August 29 at the Seaville Fire Hall. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Entertainment for this event will be provided by noted Ocean City musician, Bill Davis. Davis, who is volunteering his services at this event, event is a long time supporter of the shelter and has held several fundraisers on the shelter's behalf. The summer long fundraiser he held for the shelter last year was able to raise well over a thousand dollars for the new play area for shelter dogs. The money raised at the "Paw-ty Time Social" will help to provide medical care for the shelter's special needs animals. "With the economy still on the mend many people have turned their special needs animals into shelters. Dogs and cats who are older or on medications or need special treatments are particularly difficult to find new homes for," said Bill Hollingswoth, Executive Director of the shelter. He added, "the money raised at this event will help to off-set some of these rising costs." Food, beverages, and entertainment will be provided.
